PLLM is a multi-cultural and bilingual ministry; Spanish and English. Participants learn and serve together.
The church is Called by Christ to Love, Learn, Invite and Serve.
Love: a multi-cultural “faith community” with ongoing relationships of care and support. Food, fellowship, prayer, worship and Latino celebrations are love in action.
Learn: Latino leaders with passion and gifts in cooking, teaching Spanish, Latin dancing, health education and music share their gifts.
The following classes are offered weekly:
· English as a Second Language Level 1 & 2 · Citizenship in English
· Citizenship in Spanish
· Homework help and crafts with children
· Nursery / preschool care during classes
· Spanish as a Second Language
Invite: It is an open community ready to welcome new people with new ideas. Leadership is encouraged. The direction and vision is shaped by those who participate, while also seeking to respond to the needs of the Latino people in the community.
Serve: Leaders, volunteers and students are from different denominations and leadership is multiplying. ELCA Lutheran churches are a great support in every way. Some have been helping weekly since February 2015.
